Warning***** The following images may result in obsession. In fact, their viewing may result in you never quite looking at your furniture and decor the same way again. Bouts of depression may occur when looking at your tired old sofa and chairs. May be overcome with desire to throw out everything in your home and totally start over.

Okay, there it is, don’t say I didn’t warn you…

Wednesday night’s soiree at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams‘ stellar Lincoln Park location was certainly a feast for sore eyes. With weather in the 30′s it was so refreshing to walk into a store absolutely shrouded in spring. To my delight, one of my very favorite colors, chartreuse, was taking center stage in the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Spring 2013 collection along with countless other amazing fabrics and colors. Some pieces were even covered in fun graphic 70′s inspired prints. They have great art for the home as well and several options are displayed throughout my images…

Here I am with the brains behind this amazingly chic collection, Bob Williams  and Mitchell Gold

Here is the St. Jean sofa in luxurious leather paired with iconic mid-century modern Major chairs in Pantone’s 2013 color of the year, emerald. I love lush velvet and the patinaed satin-brass frames are to die for. {many other fabrics and finishes available, of course} I am also diggin’ the horse.

A close-up of the “I can’t get them out of my mind” gorgeous Major chairs

Seriously chic style

If neutrals are more your taste, how about this gorgeous grouping with little pops of color and various textures to add interest?

The Emory sofa in a fresh diamond-tile pewter print {look closely}. I personally think this print is fab. It just adds that little extra “something something” to be interesting but certainly is subtle enough that you don’t run the risk of possibly regretting it down the road.

Charlotte sectional {great for some serious TV watching!}, Avery chair in aubergine leather and the Rocco ottoman {the ottoman is perfectly styled with a chic tray, I might add}

Bring it! I love the Ashby chair in bold chartreuse leather. Seriously, doesn’t this room just make you happy??

I am a complete sucker for great linens. I seriously think the new Bliss Collection hotel-style bedding is MAHJOR! I think monograms in the master bedroom look oh so chic and this is such a subtle way to do it. {Many choices of colors and monogram styles}. The color-blocked Winston bench in front of the bed was actually inspired by a woman’s dress in Hong Kong per Mitchell Gold. Hey, proof you never know where you are going to be inspired!

Another great view of the Mitchell Gold + Bob WIlliams Spring 2013 collection

So what do you think of the Spring collection? Are you lovin’ it? To check out everything that is available, just click here. Furniture aside, I also am so impressed with the company itself. Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams have built their business on the idea that you should treat your employees the way you would want to be treated and they truly walk the walk.

Case in point, at their North Carolina plant you will find an indoor-walking track, in-house quality healthcare and a gourmet cafeteria. In addition, they founded the on-site “Lulu’s Child Enrichment Center” for their employee’s children. What?? {read the full article here}. They pride themselves on excellent customer service and in fact, provide 98% on-time deliveries of their merchandise. Amazing. I mean have you ever waited and waited and waited for a piece of furniture to arrive?? Believe me, it is no fun. Well, I don’t know about you, but I will gladly support a company that offers great quality merchandise, consistently delivers it on time and treats its employees great to boot. This “Who We Are” page from Mitchell Gold and Bob William’s website pretty much sums it up…

Isn’t that great? Makes me all warm and fuzzy! Remember to follow me on Twitter @Chic_Glamorous for my live tweets during the Oscars this Sunday. I will be walking my own carpet {albeit orange} at Nellcote’s Oscar Party. Bon weekend everyone! So CHIC!

Oohh Hermes, I have such a crush. What I wouldn’t do to have a piece of your iconic heritage in my closet. Certainly everyone wouldn’t mind having a gorgeous Birkin or Kelly bag in their arsenal, after all, posessing one is the ultimate “I’ve arrived” statement to the world.  Hey, I would even settle for a great piece of enamel jewelry. Gorge! This french fashion house which was founded in 1837 was originally a saddle maker. Hence, the logo. My how it has evolved. Now Hermes has become the ultimate luxury label. Let’s take a peek at some of the gorgeous goods…

The Kelly bag {introduced in 1935, take note- it only has one handle}

The chic jewelry {the Hermes Chain d’Ancre bracelet launched in 1938}

and oh those iconic Hermes scarves {introduced in 1937}

The Constance bag {introduced in 1939}

and the ultimate statement… the Birkin bag {introduced in 1984 but based on an 1892 design take note-this bag has 2 handles}

Continuing on, Hermes offers what I think is the ultimate accessory for the home. Without question, an Hermes Avalon blanket certainly holds some serious rank. This cashmere/wool blend blanket is the epitome of luxury and certainly adds just the right fabulous touch to any room. It’s just soo classic. Seems I am not alone as tastemakers have quite the love affair with it, I mean this oh so sophisticated blanket is always gracing the spreads of countless design mags.

Whether you place it on your bed, drape it on your sofa or side chair or hey, maybe even use it in the nursery {Rachel Zoe- I am referring to you} it is tres chic!

The Hermes “Avalon” blanket is definitely on my lust list and with its prominent H it certainly isn’t subtle. However, never one for subtlety, I kinda love it. However, at $1300 a pop it is quite the splurge. I know I will certainly try to justify it at some point in my life because just like a classic Hermes handbag this baby is an investment piece that you can enjoy for years to come…

Who can forget Carrie Bradshaw snuggling up with the Avalon blanket in the Sex & The City movie after her wedding debacle? No shocker that chic Charlotte had the classic Hermes Avalon blanket in her Park Avenue place. So CHIC!

Sometimes I come across something while surfing the web that literally makes my pulse race and my heart feel like it is going to jump out of my chest. This is true for the gorgeous photos of jewelry designer Jennifer Fisher and her chic SoHo showroom. I came across these images in the latest issue of Matchbook. Jennifer is the talent behind her creation and namesake, Jennifer Fisher Jewelry.

This is one stylin’ chick and someone you may not know, yet. Her rockin’ jewelry is sold at Barneys and Moda and has been sported by celebrities the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman, Rihanna and the list goes on and on… Not too shabby and to think it all started with her desire for a chic little something to commemorate the birth of her first child, Shane. Not having any luck finding something that had her son’s name on it and exemplified her own personal style, she just created her own design. A simple yet chic dog tag. Hmm, I’m having a why didn’t I think of that moment. After the birth of her second child, she extended her jewelry line to include skull rings, pave black and white diamond gothic letters, studded cuffs… ooh, she is so speaking my language! Her line now is quite extensive and is comprised of over 4,000 charms as well as bracelets, rings, and necklaces. They are available in 4 types of gorgeous colored gold and for the fancy pants type, there are several diamond options. Can you say bling? For those of us who crave her pieces but are on a more modest budget, she also has a wonderful brass line.

Let’s just say this is one lovely lady. I knew I was totally into her style as soon as I saw the first photo of her SoHo office which just so happens to be covered in snakeskin wallpaper. Slay me! Something else that caught my attention is in her interview with The Coveteur, Jennifer shared that Tom Ford is a big inspiration and that he is in fact, the s*hit. Agreed. God, I love this chick. In my opinion, she just oozes cool and exemplifies urban chic, so let’s take a tour…

The aforementioned wallpaper.

So luxe!

I like so much about her office: the light fixture, the desk…

Her gorgeous jewelry.

Pretty details.

Alright, now that you have seen her swoon-worthy Soho office, let’s take a peek inside her living quarters, a Tribeca loft that is filled with lots of great textures and chic accents.

Forget about the jewelry for a second. If this clutch, belt and shoes are any indication, something tells me her closet is to die for.

And just a few more images showcasing her jewelry and chic style…

Oh to be laden in jewels…in fact, Jennifer estimates she wears 24 pieces of jewelry each and every day. She has it down to a science and can get them all on in about thirty seconds flat. Now that’s impressive.

So what do you think of Jennifer’s style? Are you craving some of her jewelry? Would love to hear your thoughts. So CHIC!

The Lanvin boutique is located at 116 E. Oak Street

(2013 goal: improve my photography skills!)

After much waiting and anticipation, Lanvin has officially opened its doors on Chicago’s famed Oak Street. What a fabulous addition to this legendary street. French shoe designer Christian Louboutin also recently opened on Oak Street so now we can add yet another fabulous french addition with the opening of Lanvin. Merci beaucoup! Lanvin’s designer, Alber Elbaz, recently celebrated his first decade at the helm of this french design house. Alber Elbaz is known for his use of feminine fabrics, signature peplums, ruffles, and Grecian style. Lanvin is a favorite of celebrities, maybe you will recognize a few of these gorgeous Lanvin dresses from the red carpet of year’s past…

So what does Alber Elbaz’s next decade have in store for Lanvin? If the Spring 2013 show is any indication, Alber Elbaz is ushering in a brand new era. Gone are last year’s peplums. For spring it was all about boxy shapes and structure. He showed lots of black and also some gorgeous jewel tones, especially blue and purple. He presented a fresh and modern interpretation of tuxedo jackets {le smoking jacket} and the LBD. Here is a peek from the runway…

I can totally see Gwyneth Paltrow rockin’ this on the red carpet.

 A leather pantsuit, gotta love it. Can totally see Gwen Stefani in this!

Spring 2013 also showed many Japanese influences.

Now this is sexy!

Let’s look a little closer at some of the fantastic details for Spring 2013:

These heels are fabulous!

One thing is for sure, it just got a little more dangerous for me to take a walk down Oak Street! I just don’t know if I can resist all of the temptation. Between Lanvin, Louboutin and all of the other gorgeous boutiques, it will really be tough for anyone with a weakness for shoes or fabulous fashion to not cave in! I surely look forward to some great afternoons spent window shopping {and dreaming} on Oak Street with my friends before we grab some lunch, ideally at Jellyfish on Rush St. I have been dying to try this hot new restaurant nestled on the 2nd floor above Ted Baker London and SCOOP NYC. Sounds like a plan! I will add it to my long list of things I hope to do this year. Hope 2013 is off to a great start for all of you! Bon weekend everyone!
